Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The worldwide success of his career has seen his rise into the mainstream of Latin music. Una Lady Como Tu, the hit song from 2016 won the Colombian Kids Choice Award in 2017 for Best Song. The singer released his first long-player ADN with the Sony-owned company based in Medellin, La Industria Inc. The album reached the number 8 spot in the Top Latin Albums chart. Following that year, the singer teamed with Ozuna to create Vaina Loca that was an album that was a Top Five hit. He collaborated on a track with Noriel for Mala Influencia in the year 2020, and the following year released his sophomore album the charting Dopamina. Then in 2021, he sang a duet on TINI's streaming hit single Maldita Foto. in 2023 the single the hit song La Bachata was released. Turizo was born into an musical family. His older brother and mother are both musicians. According to Turizo, music was a mandatory component of his childhood. He started playing the saxophone, guitar ukulele and keyboard as the age of a small child. The first choice for his career was to become a vet, but his brother Julian convinced him to study how to sing under an instructor from a Cuban teacher. The end result, discovering that he had a talent for singing changed the direction of his life.
